Lately I’ve been playing around with a technique for using perspective and constrast to make scenes look like something out of a miniature diorama.  In this picture we see a gigantic luxery yacht leaving the port of Hydra in the Greek Islands, but the optical illusion almost makes it look like a toy.  It’s a fun technique that is breathing a bit of new life into some older photos that I didn’t really think had turned out that well.

Camera: Canon EOS 40D; Shutter: 1/500 sec.; Aperture: f/8; ISO: 400; Focal Length: 32mm. HDR photo made from a single raw image saved as three separate 16-bit tif files at different exposures.

A beautiful morning at the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland.  We managed to get there early enough to enjoy a couple hours of quiet before the hoards of tourists showed up.
